#14- Next stop: Unemployment Line

My new thing for today seemed so much funnier during its inception.

I pranked my parents.

I protected my identity by dialing *67 before their number.

Me (in a super lame voice): “Is Frank there?”
Frank: “This is.”
Me: “Uh, hi. This is Jose.”
Click.

The delivery and content both could have been better. All around major buzzkill. The most demeaning part was when I called back to tell my dad what had just transpired in that mysterious 2 second call, and he said, “really scraping the bottom of the barrel there, huh?”

You should have called our house. Mike probably would have kept talking to “Jose”.

The depth of your creativity is truly astounding, How did you come up with something so unique? You must have spent hours on it. I can only imagine your thought patterns: developing such an intriguing question, trying to come up with an alias, and working on your speech patterns to get just the right inflection and tone to trick me with your well-crafted accent. Forget the blog! Head right to Hollywood and contact Ashton Kucher. I’m sure there is an opening on his show for someone of your peerless pranking skills. Well done!

I think I would rather read Frank’s daily blog!

I have to ask…is this really the first time you pranked your parents?

Go ahead and read Frank’s blog, Molly. Oh wait, he doesn’t have one. Mwa ha ha.
